The Expat Intro Guide
Handcrafted by La Flâneuse in response to my most frequently asked questions.
In an effort to serve more people AND my own needs, as well, I've created a comprehensive Expat Intro Guide, updated in real time in response to readers' comments, questions, ideas and the dynamic nature of the topic.
For just $20, you'll have lifetime access to the Google Doc:
Since November 6th, I've been subjecting myself to an unsustainable schedule in an effort to serve as many At Risk Sliding Scale Clients as possible. While rewarding, this work takes an emotional toll on me, as well. My Trans clients are often young, many of them students with a very small budget. Most pay between minimum wage up to $20 to secure their session. I'd do it for free, but then I risk more no-shows, unfortunately. I charge simply to ensure respect for the appointment time.
4 months of meetings have informed me of the most common questions and concerns that I find myself repeating over and over again. My intention is for the document to save time for both my clients and myself, so we can have more substantive sessions when it's been read in advance.
The Expat Intro Guide is included when you book a session. If you get The Expat Intro Guide first, the cost will be deducted from the standard full session rate.
I'm eager to spend more time planning vacations, extended travels for Digital Nomads and even internal systems and strategies for businesses. I need to balance the emotional activism with the FUN of sharing my favorite places, like Piaynemo, Raja Ampat, West Papua, Indonesia, pictured here.
I spent yesterday snorkeling in the most biodiverse waters on the planet, with clouds of clownfish, unbothered by my presence, floating above a landscape of pristine, sculptural corals that camouflaged three huge, pastel sea turtles, munching on bunches of waving weeds. The best office I could ask for. I'm blessed beyond all measure
.
That said, working on the road is a delicate balance that I'm still refining. As a travel consultant, actively exploring the destinations I visit IS my work, as much as meeting with clients. While 12-13 hours ahead of EST & 15-16 hours ahead of PST, as I am now, my calendar is incredibly limited, and hours are not ideal for either of us. I prefer to meet with clients after sunset, to optimize time for activities, which usually begin closer to sunrise. So, If I work from 8p-11p MY time, East Coast Americans can meet me between 8-11 AM. I simply CAN'T serve Americans on the West Coast during those hours. Even if I shifted to MY mornings, it's then too LATE for the West Coast.
So, until September, I'm focused on East coast meetings, and serving the West Coast through email. I hope The Expat Guide fills the gap until I find a better solution.
Thanks for reading. I welcome all suggestions! I’m thrilled to introduce my Expat Intro Guide, a 19 page Google Doc dedicated to the basics of expatriation for Americans, particularly At Risk Communities. It will be consistently revised in response to your questions, comments and the dynamic nature of the topic.
Remember, the guide is FREE when you book a session with me, or $19.99 if you prefer to peruse prior to booking. The price will be deducted from your rate when you book a session after purchasing the guide.
So Far... SOLD OUT!
I’ve decided to delay the release of the 2nd edition to Cyber Monday, 2025, so I can include 30 more countries than the original, and celebrate the halfway point in my mission to 330.
