Pop Up Pola is my Brooklyn based Polaroid Studio for Portraiture and Events.

There are countless applications for this medium.

Both the process and the product are completely unique and rewarding. The camera itself is a crowdpleaser. Made for one year only, our rare, iconic, 1982 SLR 680 was the first Instant Camera with both Autofocus and Flash.

Until recently, with the introduction of the i2 (which we have, as well…), it was the ONLY instant SLR with those features. The following year, the ubiquitous Polaroid 600 box camera was introduced, which, though user friendly, created the sub par images now associated with Polaroid.

The images produced by the SLR 680, however, are INCREDIBLE. The 3.108 × 3.024 inch image is a color negative with such high definition it can be reproduced, unpixelated, to much larger sizes. Zoom in on the image above and be amazed.

We’ll bring our signature backdrop, pictured above, to your event for a completely unique photo booth experience. Of course, we can feature your venue or floral installation as a backdrop, as well.

We even have vintage Polaroid 600 cameras available to rent for your guests to document the evening. Get one for each spouse’s party to shoot your prep, reception and afterparty. So much more fun than disposables!

We’ll email ALL the digital scans directly to your guests the very next day. We’ll even post them to our social and tag your team!

When you return from your honeymoon, 2 tangible copies will be waiting for you. We’ll reprint YOUR copies on gold frames (or black, or white…or Star Wars or Stranger Things, pending Ebay availability) and pop them into an album for you. Your guests’ copies can be provided with adhesive magnets in custom cards and envelopes to make your Thank You notes a breeze.

Boudoir Photos are our favorite application of the format. No digital copy, no developer, no negative, no reprints. You own the originals. Is there a better pre vow gift for your fiancé? We can shoot you in studio prior to the day, or at the location on the morning of, after hair and make up, but before the dress ;)

Of course, Weddings are about starting a Family. For those of you who’ve added to yours with extra humans (and furry friends), Polaroids make such a special Holiday Card. Grandma can proudly display our magnetic frames, made from the actual Polaroid Film Pack, on the fridge upon arrival.

We’ll print as many copies as you need on actual Polaroid film for your closest friends and family. The digital scan is ideal for E-Cards and other affordable Holiday Card options for your larger list.
