india: dharamshala

Dharamshala is the Tibetan Kingdom in Exile. Where better to learn about Buddhism?

We’ll spend two weeks in my favorite hotel in India: a tribally owned and operated Swiss Tent Glamp. Shiva invented Yoga in these mountains, and my teacher’s teacher, Krishnmacharya, spent seven years learning Asana from his teacher while living in a Himalayan cave.

Our rooms are warm and cozy, each with their own en suite bathroom, complete with 24 hour Solar powered hot water. Our bedding is changed daily and every meal is included.

In addition to nearby Dharamshala, you can also enjoy a hike. Yes…there ARE leeches. Bring proper footwear. We’ll visit a local tea plantation, as well, but mostly, we’ll meditate on the epic beauty of our environment. We’ll wake to waterfalls that give way to rainbows, and cleanse our lungs with mountain meditations, paramount pranayama.
